Keep Branding In Mind When Buying A Domain Name
When many people consider a website they often think of .com's first, and this holds true when you have a unique brand or corporate name. But there have been over 100 million domain names sold since the beginning of the internet and you may not always be able to buy the domain name you want at first try.
Be prepared to try other forms of the name, and also keep an open mind on purchasing the .net or .org If the name you want is in fact available in the .com version, great, but it on the spot. But in addition to that, you also at times have to consider getting a few of the other extensions in order to help protect your brand. This allows you to point these other names at the main website, and it also keeps your competitors from buying them to capitalize on you the traffic that your brand may bring.
